Steps To Getting Your Company Website Online!

1. Register a Domain Name
This is your address/name on the Internet, ie: www.yourcompany.com. You can pick a domain name that is like your company name, ie: www.yourcompany.com, or that is about your product or service, ie: www.widgets.com or any other name that you like and that is available.

TAC will register your domain name with the InterNIC organization, and setup our server to host your domain name. See Domain Name Registration to see if your domain name is available and to register or transfer your domain name to our server.

2. Develop Your Website
You can do the web page creation yourself or have your site professionally designed. The cost for web page creation is similar to setting up graphics for printing brochures, etc., but without the printing cost. 3. Rent Space on an Internet Server
Now put your web site on-line! Leasing space for your website is called hosting. You can have one, two, three or more pages, or a complete website with unlimited pages and graphics. 4. Get Your Email Setup
Now that your site is up on the web, get your office connected to the Internet! The Internet provides an excellent form of communication that will benefit your company and your customers . Your website and email communication also improves correspondence with vendors. And the web is also an excellent reference tool to source products and services for your business. Remember, email sent to a customer or vendor out of town is like free long distance! Here is how you get setup (also see our Email section) :

1. TAC sets up email accounts at your Domain Name. Email addresses are like post office boxes. You just log onto the Internet and check in your mailbox to see if you have mail. You can also setup an email address to forward to another email address (See "forwarding" in our Email section).

ie: info@yourcompany.com

or set up email for everyone in the office, ie:
JimB@yourcompany.com - President
FredH@yourcompany.com - Sales Manager

2. Set up your computer's email software to be able to log into your email box and get your email. You can set your computer to check your email automatically and let you know when you have mail. You can check your mail every day, every hour, or every fifteen minutes (see Email Setup for technical settings).

Now your office can send and receive email 24 hours a day from customers, vendors, or anyone in the world.
