META Tags

META Tags are blocks of information that are stored in your html page but are not shown when visitors view your website

The two most important META Tags are the "Keyword" and "Description" tags. These tags are used by search engines and directories to use in their search databases.

If TAC is developing your website for you, use the form listed below to submit META Tag information to be added to your website. Though our developers could come up with some of the keywords and description information form your website, this information should really be submitted by someone in your industry that may know specific keywords that would be important and for developing a proper company/website description. If you are developing your website on your won, be sure to include META Tags in your home page.

Keyword META Tag
The keyword META Tag is a list of words or phrases that someone may enter at a search engine to find information on a topic they are looking for. Each keyword or phrase needs to be separated with a comma, such as: key, word, keyword, etc. It is recommended that the total length of the list not be more than 1,000 characters long including commas and spaces.

Description META Tag
The Description META Tag is a description of your website or company. Again it is recommended that the total length of the description not exceed 1,000 characters long including commas and spaces.
